YOUTH MASS & ACTIVITIES
This year, we are trying something a little different with the K-6th Religious Ed. Classes. Beginning in October and going thru April, once a month the 5PM Saturday Mass will be a Youth Mass. At the Youth Mass, the Religious Ed students are encouraged to read, carry up gifts, and sing in the choir. Following the Youth Mass, we will meet in the Parish Hall except on the October 24th date, it will be in the gym. During that time, we will begin with a small meal for the children. Following that, we will have a short lesson time either with the individual classes or as a group. We will end the night w/ a fun activity or craft. This time together will substitute for the following Sunday’s religious ed class. Below are the dates for the Youth Masses along w/ the date it will take the place.
Youth Mass Dates No K-6th Class on this date
October 24th October 25th
November 14th November 15th
December 12th December 13th

If you have any questions, please contact me at 270-945-2787. We hope this time together will be fun and encourage excitement about our Faith! We believe that when our children participate at Mass at an early age, they become comfortable with it and want to continue into their teens and adulthood. Please encourage your children to participate. If they want to be a reader, they will receive their reading in plenty of time to read over it and also practice at the ambo. Mrs. Barr is excited about the Youth singing w/ her at Mass. Any of our youth that can play a musical instrument are encouraged to share their talent at Mass. If you child would like to do this, please let Mrs. Kim know. We are excited about the Religious Ed year! God is very good and blesses us greatly on the hill at St. Romuald Church!
